Previous Projects

The Poland family have been involved is numerous other projects, particularly overseas, before the founding of the current Strzelecki Holdings Group. From varied industries such as Seafood capture and production, meat farming and fruit and vegetable handling, there is a great deal of experience and knowledge within the group.


Punjab Meats

This project involved the design, development and construction of a number of facilities over a 50 hectare area supporting the farming and slaughtering of cattle. The project included the requirements of gaining approval from the Indian government including feasibility studies, environmental studies and gaining of health approvals, and was also built to Australian building and health standards. The project had a development value of $60M US dollars, and includes a feedlot, slaughtering and by-product processing facilities, water treatment, power generation and staff/canteen/administration facilities.


Hind Industries (Aligarh)

Another successful project built to handle and process livestock, it was designed to handle and process 2500 Buffalo or 10000 Sheep/Goat per shift. At a $135m US development cost, the project involved gaining approval from the Indian government including feasibility studies, environmental studies and gaining of health approvals, and once again was also built to Australian building and health standards. This 200 hectare project includes Veterinary services, feedlots, slaughtering processing, by-product rendering facilities, water treatment, power generation and staff/canteen/administration facilities.


Australian Aid to Seafood Research and Processing

A project provided via Australian aid channels to India, this involved setting up and the performing of Seafood research, construction and setup of Seafood processing facilities and creating marketing material and opportunity for the local Seafood industry.


Parak Meats

The Poland family was again involved in designing and constructing more meat handling facilities, this time for Parak Meats. This $30 million dollar project spaced over an area of 20 hectares was again following the high standards set by the Poland family, ensuring that it met Australian building and health standards and is capable of processing 250 cattle per shift. The project included housing for veterinary services, feedlot, slaughtering facilities, by-product rendering facilities, water treatment and power generation plants and also housed facilities to handle small goods production.


Seafood Processing, Wholesaling and Retailing

The Poland family has over 35 years involvement in the Seafood Processing and distribution industry including the operation of fish market outlets. The family also has members who are shareholders and board advisors to the only publically listed Seafood company in Indonesia which produces 700 tonnes a month of Seafood, exporting around the world, and has further operations in Vietnam.


Other Projects

Having extensive experience in design and construction, the Poland family has also been involved in projects such as:

  • Designing and maintaining caviar cold storage and handling facilities in Iran.
  • Designed, supplied and supervised construction of milk freezing facilities for Indo Milks in Indonesia.
  • Design and construction of a Nile Perch processing facility in Kenya
  • A further 30 projects across Vietnam, Russia and North Korea, building Abattoirs, fruit and vegetable processing plants, cold storage and seafood processing facilities.
